LS-H/G Weigh Screw Feeder for Continuous Dosing
The LS-H/G Weigh Screw Feeder is designed for continuous weighing, conveying and controlled dosing of powders, granules and difficult-to-handle bulk materials. By integrating screw conveying, dynamic weighing, speed measurement and closed-loop flow control, the system maintains a stable preset feed rate throughout the production process.
Its enclosed screw structure is particularly suitable for dusty, sticky or bridging-prone materials where conventional belt feeding may be difficult. With metering accuracy up to ≤0.5% under specified operating conditions, the LS-H/G provides a compact solution for continuous industrial batching and process feeding.
Main Components of the Weigh Screw Feeder
The entire screw feeding weigher adopts a modular integrated design, consisting of three core systems with stable structure, easy installation and convenient maintenance.
Screw Conveying System
The screw conveyor continuously moves material through the weighing section. Screw geometry can be selected according to material flow characteristics to improve feeding stability and reduce accumulation or bridging.
Dynamic Weighing System
Load cells, the weighing structure and speed measurement system continuously acquire material load and screw-speed data for flow calculation.
Automatic Control System
The control cabinet, weighing controller and variable-frequency drive regulate screw speed according to the target feed rate and provide operating protection and system status monitoring.
How Does a Weigh Screw Feeder Work?
A weigh screw feeder continuously measures both material load and screw rotational speed to determine material flow.
During operation, the screw conveyor moves the bulk material through the weighing section. Load cells detect the material weight acting on the weighing structure, while a digital speed sensor measures screw rotation.
The weighing controller processes the weight and speed signals to calculate:

Totalized Material Quantity
The measured flow rate is continuously compared with the target feed rate. When a deviation occurs, the controller adjusts the drive frequency and screw speed to maintain stable quantitative feeding.
