
HCS Totalizing Hopper Weigher for Automatic Bulk Weighing
The HCS Series Totalizing Hopper Weigher is an automatic bulk weighing system designed for high-throughput receiving, dispatching and inventory measurement of free-flowing bulk materials.
Instead of weighing an entire shipment at once, the system automatically divides the material flow into individual batches. Each batch is statically weighed in the weighing hopper, discharged, recorded and added to the accumulated total until the complete shipment has been measured.
With throughput capacities from 30 to 2000 t/h, PLC-based automatic control and integrated weighing data management, the HCS Series is suitable for grain terminals, ports, cement plants, mining operations, chemical plants and other bulk material handling facilities.
How Does a Totalizing Hopper Weigher Work?

Step 3 – Static Weighing
The inlet gate closes, allowing the weighing hopper and load cells to stabilize before the batch weight is recorded.
Step 4 – Discharging
The discharge gate opens and the weighed material enters the lower transition hopper or downstream conveying system.
Step 5 – Totalizing
The controller adds the completed batch weight to the accumulated total and stores the weighing record.
Step 6 – Repeat Cycle
The system automatically starts the next weighing cycle until the required shipment or production quantity has been completed.

Bulk material enters the upper transition hopper, which maintains a stable material supply for the weighing cycle.
Step 2 – Filling
The inlet gate opens and material flows into the weighing hopper until the preset batch weight is reached.
