What Is a Weight Sensor for Heavy Trucks?

Also called a truck scale load cell, weighbridge load cell or heavy-duty load cell, a weight sensor for heavy trucks is the precision component that turns a loaded truck’s mass into a reliable, billable number.

When a heavy truck drives onto a weighbridge, the load is transferred through the tires to the steel weighing deck, then distributed to multiple load cells at the support points.
